Is it bad to continuously take in and out airpods from the case?

I've always known that it's not good to plug and unplug your phone too often when it's charging and ever since i've done that my iphone's battery life has been pretty good.

Is this the same case for the airpods? i always put them back in their case since they're so small and i dont want to lose them.
