Connecting Mac with both Rthernet and WiFi: Facetime problem

Hello all

I have a Macbook Pro with Mac OS Catalina. I would prefer to connect via Ethernet, due to its fastness and stability. BUT some features of continuity, e.g. apple watch, works with WiFi on.

Keeping both Ethernet and WiFi causes continuity cellular calls on Mac to not work: you have to choose one of them.

Is there a way to solve this issue of the cellular calls?

Hello Asmodai,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand from the information you provided that you’re having issues with some Continuity features while connected to Ethernet; I'd like to help.

If these features work as expected while only connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then the best option is to set up network locations so that when you want to use Continuity, you can easily switch to a location that uses only Wi-Fi. You can see how this process is done here:

How to use network locations on your Mac - Apple Support

Hope this helps.

Best Regards.
