Timer on Apple Watch disconnecting AirPods from iPhone

My Apple Watch keeps disconnecting my AirPods from my iPhone when using timers. I notice it when I'm exercising. I'll be listening to Pandora, have my timer set for a workout, when the timer goes off, Pandora stops. I have to keep hitting play to keep Pandora going. Hard balancing a workout when I'm bouncing between timer and Pandora. The phone still says the AirPods are connected but no sound will play.

Hello amandagourgue,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that when you set a timer the music stops playing. What you are describing sounds like you have Stop Playing enabled for When Timer Ends. You can change what happens when the timer ends using the steps from this article:

Use the timer or stopwatch on iPhone - Apple Support

Best Regards.
