Question: Yahoo Redirect in Safari

When I search in Google it redirects me to Yahoo. I have read previous posts, I have my home page in settings defaulted to Google, I have cleared extensions, Caches and Cookies. I am also unable to download Chrome or Firefox. The url that it redirects me to is search.yahoo. And it does not give me much information or websites, just Ads for the first 7 or so links. How do I get rid of the yahoo direct and back to my normal Google searches

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.13

Hi erhartsm,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you do a search in Google and it brings up Yahoo search results.

Are you doing the search on the Google webpage or through the address bar?
