Model number.
I can't find the model number of my Mac book because I'm not able to turn it on. How do I find it?

Mine is printed in very fine letters on the outside bottom of the case, just below the hinge.
It says "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China. Model A1989 [... blah-blah-blah]"
The second line ends in the 12-character serial number.
