How to unlock an iPhone 8

If you do not have a backup file created then you will lose all your data on the iPhone. If Messages and Contacts are synced to iCloud then you will be able to retrieve them.

Ok great. I did download it earlier. I just couldn't find it on my computer. Is there a certain spot it will be. I will plant with it some more tomorrow. Thanks for your help. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. Thanks in advance
