Preserving photo data in windows PC

My imac has fried (graphics gone for 3rd time), can't afford a new one at the moment. Looking at either a base mac mini or cheap PC to keep me going.

Question is in relation to photo data. I have had iphones for a number of years, along with ipad, and apple tv. Lots of photos stored in icloud with faces, location, and time data attached.

Is there a way to preserve this data within a windows programme? I realise it will within icloud and you can download the photos themselves to PC but I don't want to lose the metadata in the process.

Trying to google this as well so feel free to point me in the right direction if asked before.
