How to forward delete on the iPad Magic Keyboard?

Is it possible to forward delete using the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard?

In the past, with the Smart Keyboard Folio, you were able to use the Globe key + delete. This somewhat mimicked hitting the Function key + delete as on MacBook Pros, which is good. However, now with the Magic Keyboard, that doesn’t work.

Other people have suggested pressing the right arrow button + delete, but that just moves the cursor forward one space and then deletes backwards that character. To delete multiple characters, you can’t just keep the right arrow down and hit delete - you need to release the right arrow and hit both buttons again repeatedly, which is not ideal.

I also know that you can use Control + D. This works, but requires your left hand to hit 2 keys which is hard to do without looking.

Can anyone help? I feel like this is a big deal and will affect the most fundamental typing experience.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 13
