iPhone locked, is asking me to connect to iTunes

iPhone locked. I’m getting an air message to connect to iTunes but what do I do after that?

Follow these instructions (in particular "remove your passcode" section:--> If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled
