Question: External mic for making phone calls

I would love to know if it's possible to use an external mic when making phone calls. I find that for interviews and podcasts the mic on the phone (iPhoneX) isn't quite good enough

Hello,

Any headphones/headsets with microphones in you can use for calling people, listening to podcasts (basically anything).

Headphones/headsets without Microphones will still work for audio, just not for calls.

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply, I currently have 2 Shure mics, and I would like to use them when talking on my phone. They work amazing for voice recording, however I can't seem to get them to work for phone calls.

Ok, try contacting Shure to see if they are compatible with iPhones.
