Question: Iphone camera on new SE will that work in Dark places?

I am an inspector with an iPhone 6 and iPhone SE. Both cameras are terrible for picture taking in Attics or crawlspaces, pictures come out dark and grainy. Does the new SE camera have a better camera. Does the new iPhone 11 / 12 take good pictures in dark places? Which camera should I use. I currently use a Nikon for these pictures in this area but would like to use iPhone so pics can shoot to iCloud pictures.
