iTunes note saving changes in preferences

Hello,

I am trying to enable the iCloud music library in iTunes preferences. When I select the checkbox to enable and then click OK it does not appear to save the changes. When I go back into preferences it is no longer selected. I've tried to reboot, restart and all that stuff. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am on iTunes 12.8.2.3 on a macbook pro running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

iCloud Music Library won't turn on While looking at the preferences of iTunes on my Mac, I accidentally disabled iCloud Music Library, resulting in all of my songs being erased. After going back and turning it on, I hit Ok and nothing came back and the box was still unchecked. How do I fix this?

iTunes will not save song data edits For the past six months or so, my iTunes (v12.9.5.5) library will not save edits to music files. This includes song titles, artwork that I add, track numbers, genre, etc. This happens when I try to edit single files, and groups of files (e.g. an entire album). Sometimes the edits appear correct, but then revert to the original. I'm using MacBook Pro (mid 2014), and OS10.14.5. I've never had this problem, on any version of iTunes, any Mac, any OS, until recently. Grateful for any advice to fix this.
