I have subscribed to Crave via iTunes and have not been able to access the application through the crave application on Apple TV. When I select restore iTunes purchase subscription I get an error reading “server error: there was an error processing your request”. I have tried several times by resetting my Apple TV with no luck. Crave tv works on my Mac but I purchased it for Apple TV. How do I get it to work?
Only the 4th gen and 4K run apps. The 2nd and 3rd gen only have preset 'channels' sent via server. Their site notes the 3rd gen, but also states OS 12 (which doesn't run on that model). If you have a 2nd gen then be aware it is classified as obsolete, no longer supported by Apple, and providers have also been dropping support. You can contact Crave to verify.

According to Crave’s website, the Apple TV 3 or newer with tvOS version 12 or later is compatible:

If you’re using an Apple TV 3 or newer, you’ll want to contact their support for further troubleshooting.

Unfortunately, I am still getting an error. Does the crave application work with all apple tv models or only version 3 & 4?

Not a problem. You would still be able to use airplay to stream content from the IOS app to Apple TV until such time you wish to upgrade.
