My microphone is disabled?

Hello recently my iPhone 7 microphone stopped working and for some reason when I plug in my earbuds with a working microphone it still doesn’t work. It’s as if my microphone is disabled because there has been no damage to the phone it just s topped working 1 day. Any suggestions?
