Question: iPad set-up with child account

I tried to set up my daughter's new iPad under her child's account but kept getting stopped at AppleConnect login. Guessing I had something wrong, I tried logging in under my own account, thinking I'd have to switch over after I'd gotten in under the parent account. Now I don't see any options for switching over to the the child account. What do I do?!?!
