Question: Grayed out WiFi and Bluetooth

On my iPhone 7, the settings for both WiFi and Bluetooth are grayed out. I am on software version 13.3.1. I reviewed the instructions from other posts with no luck.

I reset 'network settings' and it will show me briefly the option to choose WiFi signal but then shut off my phone several times on and off for about 5 minutes. When the phone finally stays on, it has grayed out the settings again.

I connected to iTunes to try and update my iPhone that way but it gets stuck and gives me an error. When I try to click on 'Apple ID Settings', I get the error, 'Verification failed. There was a problem connecting to the server'. When I go into settings and choose my name, it grays out the option to update name phone numbers and email.

Not sure what to do next as sending it in for service is tricky since it is my only phone and need it for work every day.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Julie

Greetings dolewhyte,

I see that you're having difficulty with your iPhone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as with installing iOS updates.

I'd suggest that you focus on the iOS update first; check out this article for some great guidance (including help with errors): Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Have a nice day.
