Question: all of sudden, my wifi connection is lost.

I'm still using this old iMac, 27 inch, late 2009, and I loose the wifi connection a couple of times a day. That happens sometime when the iMac gets rebooted after sleep mode or it also happens when I'm on Zoom talking with someone. I was wondering if there is something wrong with hardware? It usually solves after I restart the iMac. the OS is Sierra. Should I probably buy an external wifi device?

iMac, macOS 10.12

Rudegar, thanks for your advice! I just did the resetting, and will see how the wifi connection will go. Also not sure if this has something to do with this, I usually get around 30 mbps on this old iMac while I get 130 mbps with my recent Mac Pro at the exact same location in my house. Is there any way to improve the wifi speed of this iMac like adding some external wifi device?
