Hi. I just changed my storage from 5GB to 50GB but my storage is nos at 38.6. How’s that possible? Most of it is composed of backup. Shouldn’t I still hace the same 4.3GB that I had prior to the 50GB upgrade? I need help knowing what happened. Thanks.

Perhaps 38.6GB is the amount of occupied space.
Can you take a screenshot going to Settings>[your name]>iCloud, and post it here?

Yes, 38.6 is the used space.
Check also Settings>General>Iphone Storage, screenshot and post it here.

Also, be careful: your iphone storage is reaching the maximum suggested size. To work properly it should have at least 10-15% free space available. Perhaps you'd better start cleaning it, archiving some of your stuff.

I don't know, perhaps the 4.3 GB was the latest backup you (your iPhone) were able to perform on your 5GB storage.
This last screenshot, clearly shows that your backcup should be 59.3, subtrackting photos, system and everything you are syncing (not backing up) to iCloud (i.e. contacts, calendars, reminders, notes, and so on).

Prior to this I hadn’t even reached the 5GB. That’s why I upgraded in the first place. Now I’m suddenly at 38.6???
I saw a video on Youtube where a man did the same thing I just did and he still had 4GB when he upgraded to 50GB. I have 38.6!!!
