can i back up my ipad on my chrome book

I want to get the newest software but i have an old ipad and we dont have any apple laptops/computers in my house... What will i do?? i have the Ipad 2 ios 9

The iPad 2 cannot be updated beyond iOS 9.3.5 (or 9.3.6 if it is a cellular model).

You can backup an iPad to iCloud or to Mac or Windows computers but not to Chromebooks. Note that even if you could backup to the Chromebook, you still couldn't update ti beyond iOS 9.3.5 or 9.3.6.
