Why is Applecare+ with theft and loss Cost more to purchase for a year then monthly. $14.99 a month and 299.00 a year?

I called Apple Care when I have a issue that I can't solved so I get in touch with Apple Care. A Apple computer voice will come onto the telephone and ask you question(s) first so the Apple computer robot can direct you to a correct specialist first. You have stage 1 up to stage 9 is the highest level for Apple Care. You have to go in order and if level 1 can't solved your question then you can ask for a level 2 person and so on...since I have a Apple desktop computer I can screen share my Mac desktop computer with a level 1 person if it is a computer issue OR my iPhone 6+ I can do the same. I remember their is a 800 telephone number to Apple Care and even if the retail Apple stores are closed because of the virus. You still can get in touch with Apple Care too.
