Looking for which to buy as measurements seem to vary. Mine is just under 10’’’.

Also Phil, the iPad 7th gen and iPad Air 3 are the same size.
It’s just the bezels are thinner on the 10.5 inch screen iPad Air 3.
Other than the screen size, both the 2019 7th gen iPad and iPad Air 3 use the same basic chassis design and dimensions.

Actually no. The 7th gen is a bit thicker than the Air. So most snug

fitting cases will not correctly fit. If the case is softer and with

some give, it might fit.

Hard cases will have a tough time.

First time someone’s confirmed the 10.5 is diagonal dim like a tv. Many thanks.

The 10.5in, is just the viewable screen area. It does not include the frame.

There is only one iPad Air 3rd generation, and as such only 1 set of measurements for it.

The 3rd Generation iPad Air has a 10.5 inch screen measured diagonally and measures: 9.8in by 6.8in by 0.24in.

See here: iPad Air - Technical Specifications - Apple

Any case that says is meant for a 3rd generation iPad Air will fit.

If it says its for a 7th generation iPad (10.2in), or an iPad Pro (11in), it will not fit.
