anyone have any idea why my internal microphone has just disappeared for no apparent reason and ideally how to rectify the situation?! The last time it worked was on a zoom meeting....and then noticed it wasn't working and had just disappeared the next time i was on zoom meeting and couldn't speak or hear... so now no sound for anything...thank you if u can help...

To start, make sure your permissions are set correctly for your mic:

If that doesn’t help, try resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM on your Mac:
