Just added a new magic mouse 2 to an iMac retina 5K mid 2015, Yosemite 10.10.5. Scrolling with gestures does not work. I assume a macOS upgrade is needed. Where or how do I upgrade to Sierra 10.12.n ? I do not want High Sierra.

If you do not really want to upgrade your Mac, then look at BetterTouchTool. It has a trial period, and if you want to buy it, it is in Statbucks coffee price range.
