Stopwatch

Hi,

After I’ve used the stopwatch in the clock app and reset the stopwatch to 00:00 and closed the app, the stopwatch restarts itself with the app closed. If I re-open the app to find the stopwatch running and stop/reset the clock again and close the app, the stopwatch still continues to run. The only solution I’ve found to stop the stopwatch running is to restart my phone. This is happening everytime I use my stopwatch.

Any solutions to fixing this?

Hey there emily_gray309,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re experiencing some issues with the stopwatch feature in the Clock app on your iPhone. I’ll be happy to help with this.

Force close the Clock app on your iPhone and then check for any updates to iOS:

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Restart your iPhone after that and see if the issue is resolved:

Restart your iPhone

Use the timer or stopwatch on iPhone

If the issue continues after that, back up your iPhone and reinstall iOS using the steps from these links:

Regards.
