Using MacBook Pro as second screen for my IMAC
What cables do I need. I ordered a Thunderbolt Cable and a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. But that was clearly wrong. What should I get?

MacBook Pros have never been able to function as external monitors.
Certain iMacs were able to act as external monitors for another Mac, but the 2017 iMac is not one of them. Please see:
