iphone storage

hey, i have an iphone 7 with 32gb and i keep deleting photos and apps but it never seems to get rid of anything. i was wondering if i could upgrade to 128gb without trading in or getting a new phone. i bought 50gb to icloud but it doesn’t seem to be storing a lot and still gives me no storage notifications. Even some tips to free up some storage can help! thank you

There is no way to increase the physical storage on any iPhone. You bought a 32 GB device and it will always be 32 GB. iCloud storage does not increase the storage on your phone. It increases the amount of data you sycn with iCloud.

When you delete photos, do you go to the Recently Deleted app and permanently delete them there. If you don't, when you delete any picture it goes to that folder where it stays for 30 days to give you the opportunity to bring it back if you want.

Otherwise, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and see what's using space on your phone and delete things you don't need or use.

iPhone storage and iCloud storage are two different things. Once you purchase an iPhone, that is the amount of storage you have and there is no way to increase that. It is a part of the iPhone. As far as iCloud, you can purchase an increase, however that does not increase your iPhone storage. iCloud is a syncing service, and not a storage service. The only way to increase storage on the iPhone is to delete content from the iPhone or purchase a new iPhone with a higher capacity.
