I bought the unlocked New Iphone Xs 2 years ago and I put the freedom simcard on it, I changed my provider to Fido and it seems like the phone is locked, but when I called freedom mobile technical service, they said that phone is unlocked, so Im wondering how I can unlock the phone?

You might see this message on your computer or on your iPhone: "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store."

If you did not buy the iPhone from Freedom then Freedom cannot lock it. Who did buy the iPhone from?
Second question - How did you learn that your iPhone is locked? What do you see on your screen?

hi Alex , thank you so much for replying to me, I bought it outright from Freedom with n contract,
when I pit the fido sim on it, it said sim not
supported. (The sim card that you currently have installed in this phone it’s from the carrier that is not supported.....
