I purchased a refurbished 12.9 inch ipad pro wifi 256GB (2nd Generation) Will the magic keyboard work with that generation?

Magic keyboard is compatible with iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd and 4th generation.

So no, you should be able to get a smart keyboard
