My google search keeps jumping to bing when I search in Safari.

Google is set as my default page, but when I go to search, it goes directly to bing. I don't know how to change it. I also continue to see this extension called DisplaySuccess with an icon that is a magnifying glass in a light blue circle that will occasionally pop up. It takes forever for me to delete it to get rid of it, but after a while it will come back and it'll keep closing my safari and I'll have to restart my computer. I do not recall downloading this extension or where it would have come from. Any ideas how to get rid of these problems?

If necessary, follow the manual instructions.  Do not download any other programs that are listed in the articles.

For the extension, go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library/Safari/Extensions. See if the extension is there.
