Mac Dead and won’t turn on

My Macbook was on a reasonable good charge level. Suddenly it dropped to 5% and said it was charging when it wasn’t even plugged in. I then shut it down and put it to charge. It now constantly says it’s charging even when it plugged in and after 4 hours of charging it’s still “dead” and won’t turn back on. What can I do?
