Do not disturb not working when on a call or zoom meeting

On my iPhone 11 when I am on a call the Do Not Disturb does not work. Once I am off the call, it works as expected. While not a big deal while on a call, it is quite disruptive when on a Zoom video call since the screen switches to the call notification and away from the Zoom meeting. I have tried everything.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Need_support_1010 and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I see you are having an issue with calls still coming through on an iPhone when the Do Not Disturb feature is activated.

Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

One of the most common reasons for this behavior is that the feature is generally set by default to allow calls from any contact that is part of the Favorites category. Make sure that this setting is set to No One. Also, the setting to allow calls from the same person that are repeated within three minutes to go through may also be active by default.

If you have ensured that these settings are correct and continue to experience this behavior, reach out directly to Apple Support for additional options.
