iCloud charges

Hi. I upgraded the iCloud storage on my phone device 4 months ago. 2 months ago I downgraded back to the free storage. I am still being charged $1.49 each month for the upgrade even though it says on my phone I'm on the free storage. I have been unsuccessful in trying to resolve this for 2 months with apple. Can anyone assist with this? Thanks.

Hi scottw1201,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you believe you are being charged for iCloud storage, even though you are set to the free 5GB plan. I'd like to share some guidance.

If you confirm your iCloud storage plan under Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage, and it is indeed set to the free 5GB plan, you would not see a charge on your payment method: Buy more iCloud storage - Apple Support.

Perhaps you being charged for a different subscription, either billed through Apple: See or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support, or billed outside of Apple: Get help with subscriptions not billed through Apple - Apple Support.

You should also review the suggestions discussed in this support article, just to make sure you're checking each possibility that could relate to this charge: If you see apple.com/bill, itunes.com/bill, or an unfamiliar charge on your statement - Apple Support.

Best regards.
