I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. After checking these posts and finding not answer, I called Apple Support. The fix is to go to:
Settings/General/Reset, then choose "Reset Network Settings".
The phone will turn off. Then log back in, and re-enter your WiFi password! Then, go back to Settings/Bluetooth, and you should see your devices. Worked fine for me, both on my Bluetooth receiver, and my Lexus RX-350 auto audio.
Thanks, Caleb! Tell Tim Cook to give you a raise! Actually, I'll write him a letter....

Was having trouble connecting my new iPhone SE2020 to my Wonderboom. Finally pressed a little button with a hole in the top on the Wonderboom, and it finally showed up on my bluetooth for me to pair my iPhone with. i.e. thinking it has to do with the device I'm trying to connect to being reset and not a problem with my iPhone.
Upgrade the IOS on your iPhone to the latest. Bluetooth was not backward compatible rights out of the box with my iPhone SE 2 and older BT headsets. Now it is and I don’t have to waste time and money on the crappy Chinese headsets and I am using the older PLT-M70 and plt-55 headsets JUST fine
Had a similar problem to pair my new SE and Acura handfree. Played with a lot of options, there is one which actually worked: Settings/ Privacy/ Bluetooth/ Off , then try to search for devices again. Worked for me
i had the same problem with my skullcandy jib+ bluetooth headphones - turns out you have to hold down the button you press after it says ‘power on’ (may be different for other headphones / speakers). eventually it does connect. guess it works as syncing before connecting.
Try changing the name of your new iPhone to match the name of your old iPhone that you used as the backup to set up your new iPhone. (Change name in Settings > General > About > Name).
Okay, do you have any other devices that have been used with your Bluetooth devices? Have you tried clearing all previous pairings from the Bluetooth devices then putting them in pairing mode?
I resolved the problem by holding down the button at top of the Wonderboom. Hope this helps
I have tested the Bluetooth on my Iphone SE (2020) a lot , and suddenly It worked.
I believe it’s a connection problem .
When the Bluetooth device was very close to the Iphone SE
(my old Iphone 7 , and my Phillips headphone) it suddenly connected.
Now I can listened to my headphone from a normal Bluetooth distance (at least 10 m) with no
problem.
I have not tested the apple pay and other bluethooth payments (Covid-19).
Surprise surprise Today my IPhone SE connected blue tooth to my car (Hyundia)!! Spoke to apple support they suspect my headphones Beats X by dr dre are faulty and are replacing them as within warranty! Hopefully when I get them I can connect Bluetooth! Thank you everyone for help 😉
Same problem here. Brand-new 2020 iPhone SE. Same IOS version as my previous SE. Bluetooth devices all appear fine on the old device, but not the new one. I have "forgotten" all the devices on the old one, but still no joy on the new one. Bluetooth itself is obviously working, as the new iPhone becomes visible to my ipad and my old iphone. But no headphones, speakers listed. Headphones are new Aftershokz that worked perfectly on old iphone. Speaker is Wonderboom, which was perfect too. Now they don't show up at all. I have rebooted, reset, etc. Only other option is a total wipe and start again. Unless anyone has a better idea...?
Old phone (8) factory reset then switched Off!
My phone and Bluetooth connections are now fine. I rebooted both phone and car, and ditched the Australian Covid tracking app. Haven't had any issues since.
Apple doesn't know you have this problem. Or did you contact them and tell them?
