I can't select a backup disk in Time Machine?

On my macbook air, I want to start up Time Machine but I cannot select a backup disk. This is what it shows and i'm not sure of what to do.

Have you already setup your AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule? Is it broadcasting your Wi-Fi network or is it apart of your current Wi-Fi network?

Use Recovery Mode:

I appears as though you are using Internet Recovery Mode. If you are trying to recover from a Time Machine Backup, on a backup disk, then you would so in Recovery Mode. Hold Down: Command + R and then Recover from a Time Machine Backup.
