I have been trying to get the latest update on an iphone 8.
I go to Settings = General = Software update = Download and install
Then it shows a Temporarily Remove Apps popup, I tap continue, it then looks like it is working but after about 30 secs it shows the Download and Install option as blue again.
I just updated an iphone 7 this morning on same wifi etc with no problems.
Any ideas much appreciated.

Is it possible that you do not have enough space available to not only download the update but to also install the update on your iPhone?

Thanks for your help mate, got it sorted by deleting a few videos, freeing up some space.
Not Much though, a few GB.

I thought that may have been the case too. Been trying to free up space so will try again soon.
Also, I tried the computer option but I have to update software on that as well and wanted to get it done this afternoon - update on Macbook will take a while.
Agreed. Updates and Restorations are always a pain and time consuming in most cases.
