Incoming SMS is having country code but incoming call isn’t

Dear All,

I am facing issue where all my incoming SMS are coming with country code (e.g +95 123456789). On other hand, all incoming Calls are coming without it (e.g 0123456789).

It is so driving me crazy since all my contacts needed to have two phone numbers, one with country code and another one without it. Only then contact name will show properly on both SMS and Incoming call.

I do own an android phone and it is working fine. Doesn’t matter whether I save contact with or without country code, it shows properly in both SMS and incoming call. So I assume this is issue with iOS not carrier related.

Any help would be quite appreciated.

Unlike android contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

So this is not iOS issue.

  1. How many Contacts account (email client server) you have?
  2. What is your default Contacts Account?
  3. Which email account you are using to store Contacts?

Thanks for the support sir.

I am only using iCloud to store my contacts and of course default account is set to iCloud as well.

I have checked on iCloud.com too. Contact region is set to Myanmar. My phone is also set to Myanmar under language and region.

I tried to turn off contacts sync on iCould setting, delete all contacts on phone and then resync again. But nothing is working.
