Air Pods - Mute / Un Mute mic from Skype Call from MacBook Pro - Bluetooth

I sync my Air Pods via Bluetooth with my MacBook Pro.

I use Skype with my laptop and walk around my office.

How can I Mute / Un Mute mic Skype Call from MacBook Pro when I'm far away from my laptop?

My Plantronics Voyager has a Mute / Un Mute button.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.12

Using an external mic when in clamshell Mode Hi Everyone, Can I use an external USB mic while my Macbook Air M1 whilst is in clamshell mode from what I have read the answer is no. I can use my Airpods but the only last about 3 and a half hours which isn't great when you are using them for dictation and phone calls any help would be great? Thanks Joel

There is no option to mute yourself on AirPods unfortunately.
