Lotus-123 was retired by IBM in May 2013. If you have existing Lotus-123 worksheets, then install the free LibreOffice suite. It can open Lotus-123 worksheets and features a Calc spreadsheet product comparable to MS Excel. There is a Calc User Guide too.

LibreOffice Suite v6.4.3 is available for installation on Yosemite or later. Once installed, there is a one-time verification ritual because the application is not from the Mac App Store.

  1. Right/control-click on /Applications/LibreOffice icon, and from the secondary menu, select Open.
  2. Click Open on the next panel to appear after the verification progress bar to complete the ritual. LibreOffice will open.
  3. You will have to repeat this ritual any time that you update LibreOffice
