AirPrint not working

Hi,

I've just bought a new Brother DCP-J772DW printer. I was, therefore, trying to connect my MacBook Pro from 2012, with my new printer by using AirPrint. But I didn't succeed with it.

Afterwards, I tried with my MacBook Pro from 2016 and it could connect... my iPhone X could also connect.

I then tried to print from my MacBook Pro 2012 with a USB cable and that worked. But I can still not print wirelessly.

On the basis of this information, I know that there is something wrong with my MacBook Pro 2012. But I can't figure out what???

So my question is: Why can I not print from my MacBook Pro 2012 wirelessly?

I have made sure that my printer and computer were connected to the same network.

Please help me :)

In advance thank you!

Kindest regards

Valdemar

If not printing wireless, then try a cabled connection as a work a round and don't fight it. It does not always work

Printer / AirPrint

Printers/scanners are typically the first causality in upgrading any OS.

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in

> System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, and add it again, select AirPrint.

Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.

you can also try reset print system if necessary:

If you are determined and no resolve reach out to Brother DCP-J772DW for help/Support from the manufactor.

Thanks for your reply :D

I would really like to have AirPrint working when I've bought an AirPrint compatible printer... I also find it quite inconvenient to use a cable when printing.

Also thank you for the links; I had already checked them out before writing in the community.

But still no progress :(

Greetings
