2020 4th generation 12.9 iPad Pro screen protector

Hi! I was unable to find a product on the apple store for this model that will work with apple pen 2 as if there is no protector installed. There are so many mixed reviews from inability to use apple pen 2 normally when drawing with glass protector including a wobble effect and that the matte ones eventually damage apple pen tips and affect screen colors and clarity. I could assume at this point that no protector is recommended, clean hands, cleaning with special cloth frequently, keeping apple pen clean and undamaged, and away from any dirt and sand is essential. The matte protectors are great as long as the user doesn’t mind replacing pen 2 tips often and likely those protectors wear out and need replacing also. For users that will not use the apple pen much then some thin glass screens can work well for basic functionality, web browsing, watching movies, taking photos, editing video...is this an accurate assessment as of today’s date?
