iPhone X Freezes after entering passcode

After typing in the passcode the phone freezes on the last number then restarts and it does the same thing again.

I typed the passcode in and while it was still frozen with the button pressed on the last number I plugged it into my Mac desktop and let it sit. When I came back to look at it again this is the screen I seen.

I thought I would have to reset the phone completely, but I didn’t have to press any volume up or down buttons and I didn’t have to manually restart the phone.

My my suggestion is to

1) type in the passcode

2 while it’s frozen on the last number plug it into your computer

3) the prompt about the device not being unlocked to use this accessory might appear. Swipe to Clear the prompt

4) wait
