Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
There is a sms that once it comes in I delete it. Today I might have accidently "hid" it. Now I don't think I can see texts from that number. I didn't pay attention to the number so there is not history of it. Is there a way to recover it?

If you look at a text message and swipe it left, there is the option to "Hide Alerts". If I do this how can I get back the alerts from that number if I have deleted all other texts from them? I don't think I am receiving them.

You can't "hide" a message, only delete it.
You can also block a number (Settings/Messages/Blocked Contacts). Note that if you un-block a number you can't retrieve past messages they may have sent.
