Extending warranty during covid-19?

Hi wondering if anyone can offer insight as to if Apple are extending warranties during this pandemic?

my phones warranty expired March 2020 however the bottom speaker has been playing up obviously I was avoiding going out long before the government put down official lock down measures & I’m wondering is Apple are still going to honour warranty fixing prices when this is all over & I am able to go to an Apple store to have my phone fixed?

I have the same warranty issue and I had a conversation with one of the support advisor today itself and he has assured that Apple will definitely consider this and will consider you into the warranty period only. Just the thing I am not sure whether the service centres staff will accept this or not!!!!

Regarding this he said show them this Case Id they will consider it.

Hope this works post lockdown :(

The warranty is for one year and can't be extended.

Surely tho considering in the UK everywhere that isn’t an essential supplier is shut they would extend or put some kind of measure in place, as I couldn’t take my phone to be fixed during a pandemic?!
