The link below contains a Google Drive share with music file on it. The player is displayed as expected, but the file will not play (Catalina, Safari 13.0.5). It does play correctly if I use Chrome, however. Why is Safari not processing the file properly?

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?
If it works in another user account, try booting into the Safe Mode in your regular user account to see if it works.
If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply. Pastebin.

I see that you're unable to play a music file you have stored in Google Drive using Safari on your Mac. Google Chrome can play it just fine, and I'm glad to help with this.
It may be helpful to isolate this issue by testing in a new user account on your Mac. This will tell you if the issue is system-wide, or user-specific. Here's how: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
