Apple Mail constantly selects iCloud email instead of correct business email when I click "reply to"

Apple Mail constantly and incorrectly selects my icloud email (which is personal) when I'm responding to business emails that are coming in thru a different account (which is not iCloud)


What is wrong w/ Mail? Everything was ok before I installed Catalina OS.


Any ideas?? Thanks..

I have tried that, this is how my preferences are now


It does not work, it still shows my iCloud email whenever I click reply , no matter what mailbox the email came in with.

This is very frustrating because if I forget to change it , everyone gets emails from my iCloud email.


I also changed the preference to my work email.... Apple Mail fails to listen to that , as well.


Its almost as if preferences are broken... do I need to rebuild my mailboxes? What can I do?

I'm not sure what will return the old behavior. As a circumvention use Mail->Preferences->Accounts to turn off the 'Enable this account' check box on your iCloud account and then only access it thru your browser at iCloud.com..
