Is there a way to factory reset an ipad withput icloud password.

I brought an ipad for the kids and my partners ex partner logged into her icloud with them and bow I cant seem to factor reset it?

if you face activation lock Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support you will need her appleID and password though
