Syncing iPad to MacPro via itunes

As a result of updating my OS, ending up at Lion 10.7.4, I have lost the function of syncing my iPad with my Mac. I need to work with 2 Apps; Set List Maker and Documents to Go. What version of iTunes will communicate with iPad 1 and where would I get it, please?

Why have you lost the function of syncing? What happens when you try to sync exactly?

iTunes on Lion should be perfectly capable of syncing with any iPad that is not running iOS 12 or 13.

If you are actually using a first generation iPad (the one without any cameras), then it should still work.

What exact model of iPad do you have: Settings->General->About->Model

What version of iTunes are you running exactly?

@james

iTunes was only replaced in macOS 10.15 Catalina. Anything older than that will still have iTunes.
