I'm running 10.15.4 and my iPod shuffle isn't being recognized either in finder or iTunes. It does charge, though. Any advice?

I am having the same issue and haven't resolved it yet, but the iPod reset utility app or the loosening the ipod in the dock trick that are referenced in these threads might work for you.
Thanks but this doesn't solve my question at all. It doesn't speak to the shuffle whatsoever.
I should mention I've tried on two laptops also one running 10.9.5 and multiple USB ports. It just blinks green once, and amber 3 times and that's it.
Anyone have any insight here??
