iPod error - Mazda CX-5

My iPhone 8 no longer connects via USB since updates to phone software!

‘ipod error’ message only.

i had hoped Apple would have sorted this issue in the latest update - but it’s been over 3 months with only Bluetooth and inferior quality music functionality!

The usb still charges the phone, but it’s really, really annoying - it makes me want to move to Android!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're unable to connect your iPhone to your vehicle through the USB connection.
