Certain emails black, have to calibrate display every time I wake from sleep

The color calibration does fix this issue, but the issue returns after sleep mode every time! I have to go to System Preferences>Display>Color each time. All I have to do is open the Color dialogue box and the issue is fixed. But it's every single time I return from a break and have put the computer to sleep, every day.

I'm running Mail 11.5 on High Sierra with an early 2011 MacBook Pro. Mirroring to Benq external display.

Ideas?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does the setting stay in the new account after sleep?

I created a new user account, but didn't want to set up email. I returned to my original user account, restarted the MacBook, and the problem is apparently gone.

Ya know, I've seen this a few time before...just create a new account, log out & in to the new one, then log out without doing anything then lo back into the original account & some mysterious problem is magically gone that even restarts didn't help... must be some kind of cache!???
